When you buy a suit of course you always need to look at the jacket, but you do not need to over-look the pants you need to focus on the pants, what kind of pants you have on that fit you. When you’re looking at pants first of all let me tell you there are two types of hem lines with pants, there’s a straight leg and there’s also a cuffed leg.
Most of the times on pant suits you’re going to see a cuffed leg, that is very appropriate but so is a straight leg, don’t think you always have to go buy the straight leg or don’t think you always have to buy the cuffed leg. You also have to look at the fit around the waist, what you do not what you don’t want it to happen it’s too tight, it’s too tight around your waist you want it where it sits nicely and it falls down right from your waist and it can fall right down on your hips. You also want there’s a pleat a lot of suits can have two pleats or they can have one, this one right here only has a one pleat. You do not want your pleat to be too big in the abdominal area you want it to lay very nicely.
When you are looking at the pockets, you do not want the pockets to pull part, which means that if your pockets are pulling apart those pants are too tight for you, the pockets need to lay extremely nicely along the hips.
When you’re looking at the back of your pants, when you’re looking at the back of your business slacks you want to make sure that it has pockets on the both sides, you want to make sure it’s not too baggy down at the bottom, you want to make sure the leg is long, you want to make sure there is a pleat to the leg, you want to make sure that
down at the hem line that it is one quarter to one half above the floor when you put your shoe on you also want to make sure there is one break down by the shoe that is a proper fitting business pant suit.
